Cooper Harrington profile
Harrington has many ties to Southern Miss, and there has been very little question about where he has always wanted to play his college ball.
The weekend just further cemented his desire to be a Golden Eagle.
"It was awesome," he said. "From what I heard, it was top notch with any other school. I talked with Daryl Collins who has been to several SEC schools, and he said it was as good as any."
"I hung out with Max Mason, and I worked on him all weekend. I had a great time, and really bonded with the other USM commits."
Harrington was hosted by Chris Campbell. "That was Zeke's buddy, so I enjoyed hanging out with him."
As so many Southern Miss commits have said, it was the people that stand out most to him. "The people just accepted us," he said. "I went down before and it was just the coaches and players, but this weekend it was the whole community that brought us in."
He also spent time talking with his academic counselor. "I got to meet with him and he helped map out my plan for school. I want to be a construction engineer," he added. "I can't wait to get there and get started."
For now, Harrington plans to play some flag football to improve his hand eye coordination as he nears the start of fall camp. He also plans to work out and put on some more weight.
