Defensive Tackle Commits To Eagles

Dalvin Craft, Defensive Tackle from Escambia High in Alabama has informed the staff that he is committing to Southern Miss.

The big defensive tackle had offers from all over the southeast, but Southern Miss is where he wanted to make his home.

"I like the enviornment, the school is great, and the campus is nice," he said in an earlier interview with GoldenEaglePride.com.

"The team is all great, and they have a great program. I loved the coaches, they are really fun and are going to push me hard."

Craft is 6'3, 280lbs, and had a host of SEC and ACC offfers. He is a good student who plays with a high motor and has good explosion.

He has made two visits to campus previously, and is working hard this summer to improve his game.

"I am trying to improve my lateral quickness and working hard to get stronger as well," he said. "The coaches said I'll be at Defensive tackle and end so I know I've got to work hard."

Craft talked some about what fans can expect when they see him play.

"They are going to see a high energy player who never gives up, goes hard every play, and who never takes a play off," he said.

Craft plans on studying physical therapy at Southern Miss.
