Singleton was a product of a successful traveling camp back in June. He committed to the Eagles after talking with Dan Disch, and was excited about the coaching staff.
Now that things have changed, and Coach Fedora and company have moved on, what is next for the receiver?
"I have been hanging out and working out since the season has been over and thinking about what all is going on," he updated us.
"I am committed to Southern Miss, but the coaches left so I am thinking about things. I just got a phone call from Coach Drayton, the safties coach. He is actually coming to see me tomorrow."
This phone conversation has really helped to put him at ease about the direction of Southern Miss.
"Tomorrow I will know more, but he told me about the things they are looking to do with me," he said. "I'll know a lot more once I meet with him."
For now, Singleton is trying to work out and add muscle and speed. He currently runs a 4.5 40.
"I am planning on taking a visit with Southern Miss, I just have to find out when everyone is taking a visit because the coaches want us to be there together," he said.
"I am not taking a trip to North Carolina without an offer," he added. "They were talking like they make an offer, but I am committed to Southern Miss and do not have an offer from North Carolina."
Singleton is a very football savvy player who can be used either as a defensive back or wide receiver. He said he'd be willing to do either in college, wherever he is needed to help the team win.
