There are a few players that have that "wow" factor when watching their film. Evan Osborne is one of those guys.
An excellent all-around athlete who can do it all, Osborne has been waiting to start getting interest from college coaches.
Southern Miss has taken notice, and they have become the first school to give the Pearl rising senior a scholarship offer.
"Coach came by and then Coach Perry called me out of class and told me to come to the football fieldhouse," he explained.
"I came down and it was good to see a Southern Miss coach there. He told me they didn't get to evaluate me, but they watched my film and they were all in agreement that they wanted to make me an offer right there.
"I was so excited, it was my first offer and I'll never forget that feeling."
One name stood out to the Pearl star when he hears about Southern Miss.
"Brett Favre is what I think of when I think of Southern Miss," he said. "I know they are a winning program who does a great job of developing players. Believe it or not, I've never been to a game there but that is about to change."
"Southern Miss is the first to offer me, and that means a lot to me," he said.
"They told me they wanted me to play on the defensive side of the ball. I'm good with that because I love to hit. If they want to keep me over there, I'd be real happy with that."
The Eagles are the first to offer, but certainly more are to come. The coaches told him that he did not have to attend the camps this summer because they already know what he can do.
"I'll visit some campuses and things like that, but mostly I'll just be working out and getting ready to show all that I can do my senior year."
Osborne said he does not have a timetable for a decision.
