Thamaz Taylor took a few minutes after practice tonight to talk about his busy schedule. The star Purvis back is really seeing a lot of attention his way as he works on his game this summer.
"I am just sticking with it working out with my teammates right now and trying to improve my game," he said. "I am working mainly on my catching out of the backfield. I needed to really work on that after last season."
Taylor said he'll be making about 15 trips to camps this summer, starting with Louisiana Tech last weekend.
"I had a good camp there and I liked the visit a lot," he said. "But, I haven't heard from them since and I thought I might."
This weekend, he'll be staying close to home and coming to Southern Miss.
"I am going up to the camp Saturday and I'm looking forward to being there on campus and working out for the coaches," he said. "I do hear from the coaches but I don't have an offer yet.
"I'm hoping it will come after the camp on Saturday."
Taylor joins a huge list of players that will participate in the camps that will be in Hattiesburg, Birmingham, Atlanta, and Olive Branch over the next couple of days.
GoldenEaglePride.com will be following up with players coming up in the following weeks.
