Woods Visits Hattiesburg

Terrell Woods is a prospect the Eagles have been eying for several months now. He took in camp on the Southern Miss campus today, and took a few minutes after camp to update us on how it went and where he stands now.

Terrell Woods was on campus today, and took part in a huge Elite HS camp for juniors and seniors on the Southern Miss campus.

He talked about how it went overall.

"It was pretty much like any camp I've been to this summer, and I went to the one in Birmingham too," he said.

"We stretched, did our 40's, 5-10-5's, agility drills by position, and then did some one on ones.

"I felt like I did well, even though I didn't have a great 40 today. But, I know they have seen me run faster before."

Woods has been mentioned by the coaches of playing both defensive end and linebacker.

"I started with the linebackers, and then when we went to one on ones I just jumped in with all the defenders as we went against the linemen," he said.

Woods already holds an offer from the Eagles, and they gave him the same message they have before. They still want him to be an Eagle.

"I talked with Coach Zo after camp and he said that he has plans for me on the team and they want me to go to school there," he said.

"It is a very nice school, I like it a lot. I love the stadium, locker room, and it just has a big time feel to it. I'm still not ready to commit yet, I'm going to go back home and think about my decision.

"Southern Miss is one of my favorites, I really love it here. I could see myself playing here."

Woods will not take in any more camps this summer as he heads home and starts taking in 7 on 7's with his High School. We'll keep updated with Woods as his decision nears.
