"Camp went real well today, I thought I did a good job," he said. "I worked totally with the defensive ends, that is where they wanted to see me today.
"I ran well, and I thought I had some good moments during the one on ones."
Garner already holds an offer from Mississippi State, Louisiana, and Troy. He's still hoping for one from Southern Miss and he got some more good news from the coaches.
"They took time to talk to me afterward, and they told me I'm very high on their recruiting board," he said. "They told me I have a chance if I can really step up and be a leader for my team this season.
"They said I need to keep working and that they will be at my games this fall. I feel real good about it."
Southern Miss is still right at the top for Garner, who has always been a fan of the Southern Miss program.
