Anderson Still Hearing From Eagles

Anderson Still Hearing From Eagles

Southern Miss has been on a roll lately in recruiting, and even with the start of football season they are not slowing down at all. One major prospect the Eagles are in on is Arie Anderson from Stanhope Elmore in Alabama. He caught up with us tonight to talk about the latest on his recruiting.

Arie Anderson is one of the most sought after linemen in the state of Alabama still uncommitted. He's been hearing from programs throughout the southeast, and Southern Miss remains in the picture for him.

He's focused right now on getting ready for a huge senior season.

"The start of practice is going really good," he said. "I am putting in some hard work and getting ready for the season upcoming."

Anderson said he is still hearing from many different schools right now at this point.

"I am hearing from Minnesota and Auburn a lot lately," he said. "Also, Northern Iowa offered me not to long ago. I also have offers from Southern Miss, UAB, and Troy.

"Southern Miss has been a school that I have been talking to a lot. My favorites are Southern Miss, Auburn, Texas A&M, and Missouri."

The big defensive tackle said that he is going to make as many visits as possible in the fall before settling and making his decision. He wants to take his time and consider all his options.

Anderson also said he'll be playing along the line at several positions.

"It really doesn't matter to me where I play, as long as I can get after the quarterback," he said. "The coaches seem to think my best position will be at tackle. They said I can use my quickness to jam up the middle."

Stick with, where we will continue to track Anderson and other potential Eagle targets. Recommended Stories
