"Man, I can't wait, my final season of high school is finally here and I am so ready for it," he said.
"We have to go through practice which is tough because I just want to get to those games. But, I know I have to keep working so I can get there. I'm just ready to get out on that field on Friday nights."
Bridges is one of the best basketball prospects in the state as well. He spent a majority of his summer bouncing back and forth between summer football camps and AAU basketball tournaments.
Recruiting wise, he said it has slowed down some now that everyone is back at practice.
"Southern Miss has told me they are coming to some of my games, but I haven't heard from them in the past week," he said.
"I know Coach Buckley said he's coming to my games and they'll be watching me. They said they want me to get my grades and ACT score up too before they will make an offer."
Bridges also said he's hearing from ULL after a strong showing at their camp on the 21st of July.
His teammate and WR Brandon Acker is also a guy who is drawing attention as a D1 prospect. "We've talked about going to the same school, but we'll just do what is best for us," he said. "If it works out, that would be awesome."
The two should form a lethal pair for the Eagles and will be ones to watch as the season rolls along.
