The Eagles are coming off one of their worst home losses in school history, and the seniors are looking for anything to grasp onto to finish the season.
"You know, we have to play for pride," said senior wide reciever Quentin Pierce in an interview after practice with GoldenEaglePride.com.
"This season has not turned out the way we hoped it would. I never dreamed the streak would end this year. But, we as seniors have put in a lot to this program, and it is important that we go out giving it all we have."
Pierce said he'll do his part to just find any way to get a win.
"We have to do anything we can to try and just win," he said. "You can't go back now. We have to make the best of things and try to go hard the rest of the way. I want to try and get 5 wins and end this season well with some wins.
"We know a lot of our goals have passed, but this program means a lot to me and I'm going to do everything I can to try and stay motivated and get wins."
Tuesday, he said, was another physical practice.
"We had a very good Tuesday and the same ole physical work-out that we have every Tuesday," he said. "We are just going out and trying to execute better.
"We are trying to stay together, but man the losing is tough. We have to just stay together and fight for each other so we can try and get some wins."
With Arsenio Favor likely to start, Pierce said he's confident he'll be able to do the job.
"We are confident in all our QB's," he said. "Arsenio has limited experience but he has the talent. We as a group have to do everything we can to help him out and make plays for him so he can settle in."
