Dupre details LSU vs. Alabama

Malachi Dupre

2014 four-star WR Malachi Dupre will be at Tiger Stadium this weekend along with John Curtis Christian teammates Duke Riley, Kenny Young, Terrence Alexander and Sherman Badie...

Malachi Dupre was in Baton Rouge earlier this month to watch LSU defeat South Carolina in a matchup of highly-ranked teams, and he'll return on Saturday as the stakes get even higher.

"I know the environment is going to be crazy," Dupre said. "Everyone was looking forward to this game at the beginning of the year, and it's lived up to the hype. Both LSU and Alabama have played well leading up to it.

"LSU's strong point is their defense with the offense struggling at times to put up points. Alabama will need to execute well against LSU's defense."

Dupre is taking a business-like approach to Baton Rouge.

"This is the next level, college football, so I'm not going to just sit there as a spectator," he explained. "I'm going to use it to my advantage.

"Of course, I'm going to watch the wide receivers and also the defensive backs. I'm going to take everything in."

The 6-3, 175-pound junior received his LSU offer during the summer. While Alabama hasn't offered, Dupre is definitely on the Crimson Tide's radar.

"I'll be rolling to the game with Duke Riley," he said of his senior teammate at John Curtis Christian, which is ranked second in the nation by FOX Sports Next.

John Curtis closes out the regular season on Friday at South Plaquemines.

"We're focusing hard on this game," said Dupre, the country's third-ranked 2014 wideout. "South Plaquemines is 8-1. We want to attack full speed and attack hard with no mistakes.

"We're close to the playoffs where it can be the end of your season if you make mistakes."

Dupre has hauled in a team-leading 21 receptions for 362 yards and five touchdowns for the 8-0 Patriots.
