Jeff Hall is a name that will be one to watch as the spring and summer evaluation period really start to heat up. The 6'3 offensive lineman took a few minutes to evaluate his spring and bring us up to speed on what has been going on with him.
"The spring has been going great and it has been really cool adjusting to new coaches," he said in an interview with GoldenEaglePride.com.
"We have a new program and new direction. We are going from a running offense to a wide open offense, so it is going to be a very different blocking scheme. We are all very excited about it though."
With Mosley HS moving to a spread offense, Hall will be anchoring the offensive line at right guard.
"I played tackle last season but they've moved me inside to play guard, and I feel real comfortable there," he said.
Hall has had some early interest from several schools, including an offer.
"I have received an offer from Florida A & M, and Southern Miss and Troy have both come by and talked to me and watched me at practice," he said.
Hall will look to continue to turn heads at summer camps. He describes himself as a lineman with a bit of a mean streak on the field.
"I like to think I can get off the ball pretty well," he said. "My strength is pulling and getting out in front and driving my opponent. I am working on my footwork and quickness still though."
Hall said it is important to him to find a school that he can first find a major and get a good education.
"Both of my parents graduated from Southern Miss, so I know all about that school and program," he said. "I like their football program and I know what they have academically as well."
We'll continue to track the talented lineman as he heads into the critical summer recruiting period. Keep it locked on GoldenEaglePride.com.
