The Brandon, Mississippi prospect was on hand at the elite camp at Southern Miss, and took a few minutes to talk about his time on campus.
"We ran the 40's, did our broad jumps, and a ton of drills where the coaches were teaching us things and helping us through them," Strickland said.
"I felt like my stand-out performance today was in the pass rushing drills. I really had a strong showing there."
Strickland has been talking with the coaches about his visit, but did not have a chance to speak with them after the camp.
"No sir, I didn't but I know they'll be contacting me," he said.
"I stay in regular contact with them and I know they are interested."
Strickland said he's going to shut things down for the summer and get ready for his upcoming season.
"I have had a busy summer, and now I'm going to rest up for the year," he said.
"Fall camp is around the corner."
He left with great impressions of Southern Miss.
"After this camp, this is my top school," he said. "I loved the facilities, and the locker room is the nicest that I have seen.
"We all loved being on the new turf. The whole place just has a great feel. I loved it."
Strickland said he'll be making some visits to Hattiesburg this fall for games, and is looking forward to trying to earn an offer.
"I know they'll be there to see me play, so I'm going to be ready."
