August 3rd Practice News and Notes

The Eagles were out again Saturday morning on a sweltering day at the Practice facility. Here are some observations of the day.

The Eagles were back at it again on a sweltering day at the practice facility.

Some observations:

-Debarrius Miller will be competing for time and got a lot of work with the 1's today at practice at safety. He seems to really be emerging and stepping up his game. With experience from last season, he certainly has that under his belt too.

-Chris Briggs and Jeremy Hester both sat out significant periods for stretching. Neither injury appeared serious, but both spent a majority of time stretching with Coach Smith

-Alan Bridgford got more reps today, and he looked good throwing the ball on the run. Nick Mullens continues to throw the ball well. Weeks, Bridgford, and Lloyd all split reps, and it is hard to tell who won the day without being in pads, but Bridgford had a much better day today throwing the ball.

-Emmanuel Johnson looked great roaming the field and taking charge in drills.

-Kendrick Hardy was impressive, he really is emerging and continues to improve with every practice. He looks faster and quicker this year. I expect him to be the go to go at RB and really have an outstanding season.

-I did not see Jalen Richard today at practice. He might have been getting some extra work in the training room.

-At WR, Dominique Sullivan continued to impress. He has gained weight and was securing the ball well.

-After a lot of stretching in the beginning, Max Mason was on the field and is still feeling his way around and finding his role.

-Marquese Triplett really made some circus catches over the middle.

-Deron Wilson was with the 2's today. His effort was terrific and he's still playing a leadership role. You can tell he is winning back the respect of his teammates.

-I spent some time watching freshman Dylan Bradley along the D-line. He continued with the 2's today, and has really added weight from the pictures I've seen of him in high school.
