An early offer to South Panola Running Back Darrell Henderson has meant a lot to him, and he's been working hard adding weight and gaining strength to prepare for his senior season.
"The summer is going good I'm just working hard at camps and combines," Henderson told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"I just went to a combine at Tupelo and I went over to one in Lafayette. I've added 15 pounds and am trying to get bigger and faster."
He's also taking his visits to interested programs.
"I'm going to Middle Tennessee Wednesday and I took one to Southern Miss last week," he said.
"I liked Southern Miss a lot. I spent time on campus and loved the coaches. The campus was great and the coaches are pretty cool. They told me they want me to come on board and I can be a big asset to the on offense."
The Golden Eagles have made a strong impression on Henderson.
"Right now Southern Miss is on me the hardest," he said.
"I also have heard from Middle Tennessee and Ole Miss and Mississippi State are talking to me as well and might offer."
He has offers from Tennessee-Martin, Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss, and Memphis.
"I might make an early commitment but I'm not sure yet," he said. "I wouldn't mind wrapping it up before the end of the summer to have it behind me."
