The talented ATH already holds an offer from USM, but used the trip as a chance to see and talk to the coaches again. He also came away impressed with what he saw and heard.
"The competition was absolutely great today," the talented athlete told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"My day was excellent from the beginning to the end. I like how the coaches work with you, motivate you, and show their interest in a player. It means a lot the way they know you personally."
Hicks was able to have a more in depth conversation after the camp.
"I talked with head coach Todd Monken, and the WR's coach as well who I like a lot," he said. "They told me they really want me up here and that they think I would be a nice fit in the system.
The Eagles took a big jump for him, however.
"They were 2nd on my list but after today could have moved up," he said. "I like the atmosphere and the coaching staff so much."
Hicks said he does not have a time table for committing, but would simply do it when he feels the time is right.
