Sullivan Ready to Showcase His Skills

The spread offense requires a unique quarterback that can run, throw, and read a defense quickly. Southern Miss continues to target these dual threat signal callers to lead the team in the future. One of those is Dominique Sullivan out of Taylorsville High School, and he took time out to talk with about his commitment to the Golden Eagles.

Sullivan has been working hard preparing to face Alabama's best in the Mississippi/ Alabama All-Star game Saturday. He has been able to turn some heads with his practices, and he wants to represent his state well. "We have been having some great practices, and we have been going hard. It has been fun going against the best in the state," he said.

Taylorsville's star quarterback will have a chance to showcase his skills Saturday. He has enjoyed the opportunity to practice with the best in Mississippi. "I've been going against these guys for several years in high school, now its time for us to step up to the next level and compete," he said.

Sullivan committed to play for the Golden Eagles before the season, choosing them over Tulane, Louisiana Tech, and Florida International. He committed back in July, and is still solid with Southern Miss. "I am solid on my commitment to the Golden Eagles right now," he said.

He likes several aspects of what Southern Miss has to offer. "They have a rising program and they run the type of offense I want to be a part of," he said.

At 6'3, Sullivan has nice height, a strong arm, and is very mobile. He has all the tools USM is looking for in a quarterback. He will put on some weight in college and has the potential to be a big time Division 1 player.

When asked about what Southern Miss fans can expect when they see him play, he said, "I've got really good skills. They will see a strong arm and really quick feet."

Southern Miss fans can check out their potential quarterback in the Alabama vs. Mississippi all star game. Joining Sullivan will be seven other USM commits. From Mississippi: Steve McNair Jr., R.J. Spivery, Furious Bradley, Justin Penn, and Markese Triplett. From Alabama will be David Fowler and Seth Reedy.

The game will be at 7:00 Saturday, and will be a great showcase game for some of USM's prized commits. Recommended Stories
