Martez Thompson clears the air

Martez Thompson was committed to Southern Miss out of high school, before deciding to attend MGCCC. It was highly suspected that he would wind up being an Eagle after his stay in Perkinston. Today, Martez talks with GEP.com about where he stands right now.

It was earlier reported that Martez has already recommitted to the Eagles, but today Martez tells GEP.com that he is still undecided.

"I didn't really commit to USM" said Martez "I am still very interested in USM, but I am still going to explore my options."

USM is still in it with Thompson, but the Eagles have yet to reach out to the JUCO prospect.

"I haven't heard from Southern since high school" said Thompson.

Thompson could end up an Eagle, but right now he is still on the market.
